From the perfect clarity of the greatest of English Renaissance composers, William Byrd, to the gloriously rich harmonies of Brahms’s mature style, and featuring two of the poignant ‘Songs of Farewell’ by Parry, 100 years after his death.

A Christmas Concert

Thorpe Underwood House


Whilst you relax in the reception rooms of this fine old house, the singers will entertain you with seasonal music for choir and organ from the hall, helping you to begin the Christmas festivities in style.

The glittering style of the High Baroque, represented by Bach’s predecessor, Buxtehude, and then motets by the brightest stars of the time, Vivaldi , Handel and Bach, with a small orchestra and a bonus concerto!
