The wondrous ethereal mass from one of the great English Renaissance composers, Thomas Tallis, coupled with motets both of the age and from more modern times, reflecting the pre-Christmas season.

A Christmas Concert

Thorpe Underwood House


Whilst you relax in the reception rooms of this fine old house, the singers will entertain you with seasonal music for choir and organ from the hall, helping you to begin the Christmas festivities in style.

The exciting style of the mid-Baroque, works by two composers whose anniversaries fall this year, the programme centred around  Bohemian-Austrian Heinrich Biber’s impressive Requiem, and including Bach’s perennial Motet. With a small ensemble.
